Niedermairhof

Niedermairhof

South Tyrol, Italy

It was probably on a Saturday afternoon, at the special time when the sun disappears behind a mountain. There were two rooms in our name at Niedermairhof. Helmut and Kathrin were in the courtyard, and he was sitting on the tractor holding their ecstatic son on his lap…

EDITOR’S PICKS

EDITOR’S PICKS

by Laura Taccari

I have the gift of writing. Writing is my duty. I write about stories, clothes, hotel rooms, but also feelings, fabrics, breakfasts and dreams. I write about wonders. I love traveling and discovering new things, traveling and understanding ancient truths. I love waking up every morning and making bread, shortbread, crunchy granola or experimenting apple pies. EDITOR’S PICKS

by Paola Corini

Paola loves the sun when it’s not too strong, the smell of herbs, the colour combination of Botswana’s Lilac-breasted Roller, freshly baked bread, mountain air, people who smile, words and summer fruit. Up to one year ago writing and traveling were the extraordinary, yet in 2013 she founded Meraviglia Paper together with Laura and became a self-assured Travel Editor. She keeps thinking that traveling in this world is extraordinary, magical, and essential.

Our glasses are filled with the best wines. A unique lunch.

Ottmanngut Suite & Breakfast

Ottmanngut Suite & Breakfast

South Tyrol, Italy

You recognize the sheer elegance of the building from the tree-lined alleyway leading to it. Right in the centre of Merano, yet immersed in an Eden-like garden with lemon trees, agaves, palms and cypresses…
