What we will remember of the Kirchlenchner family is the delicacy and the nobility in every detail of their house. You recognize the sheer elegance of the building from the tree-lined alleyway leading to it. Right in the centre of Merano, yet immersed in an Eden-like garden with lemon trees, agaves, palms and cypresses. Original antiques abound, family furniture from late 1700s, Biedermeier or Jugendstil style. At breakfast you eat cherry jam made from the local trees or strawberry jam from a lady who prepares it for the family every summer, the cheeses come from the Val d’Ultimo and the bread from the Ultner Brot bakery. A delicious house.
